Leak Detection

Pool leaks are sneaky. A half-inch drop per day can lose over 5,000 gallons a month — and your water bill shows it. But before we dig anything up, we find out exactly where the leak is.

Water's Edge Pools uses proven detection methods to pinpoint leaks in shells, fittings, plumbing lines, and equipment pads. The bucket test is a good starting point, but our techs go much deeper — pressure testing lines, dye testing fittings, and using electronic detection equipment.

Once we find it, we fix it. No referring you to a different contractor. Same team, same accountability, same quality standards.

Common questions

How do I know if my pool is actually leaking?
The bucket test is a good start: fill a bucket to pool water level, set it on a step, and compare the drop after 24 hours. If the pool loses significantly more than the bucket, you likely have a leak.
How do you find the leak?
We use a combination of pressure testing plumbing lines, dye testing return fittings, electronic detection equipment, and visual inspection of the shell and fittings.
Can you repair the leak the same day you find it?
In many cases, yes — especially for fitting leaks and minor plaster cracks. Major shell repairs or buried plumbing leaks may require scheduling a follow-up visit.
